Cabinet Locks

Ever since I had my first child, cabinet locks have a part of life. I have to be honest and say that I absolutely hate them. However, I still use them because I want to make sure my kids can’t get into anything they shouldn’t.

Cabinet Locks

This is a new type of cabinet lock. They are magnetic. Because I have a love/hate relationship with cabinet locks, I am trying to be objective on these. I have found several pros to these locks over the typical locks. First off, they are easier to open. You just place the magnetic “key” against the lock and it opens.

It is so much easier than fighting with the older types. Another pro for these locks is that the set also comes with 4 electric socket covers. I still have these on every outlet that does not have something plugged into it.

The final pro that I have found with these locks would be the construction. It’s a thick plastic so they should last for a while.

Now for the cons. Honestly, other than the fact that I don’t like cabinet locks, there is only one thing that I can find wrong with this set. It is a little too possible to lose the “keys”. The package says to place them somewhere safe, out of reach of the kids. However, my problem seems to be that when I put something in a safe place, I can’t ever find it it again.

All in all, this is a great set to keep the kiddos safe from all the household chemicals that we tend to use. You can get your set on Amazon here.  Compared to other cabinet locks this set is a little pricey at 27 dollars, but I think the construction of them makes it worth the money.

I received this product for free or at a discount for my honest review.

Have a great day!
