Garden Success

Slowly but surely everything in the garden is growing and growing well. I have actually surprised myself so far this year and can’t wait to see what all we will get to harvest over the next few months. However, I am also a little intimidated because once we start to harvest, I will need to learn how to can so that I can preserve everything we get from the garden.

Everything in the Santa Fe is still growing well. I have parsley and chamomile that is ready to start harvesting and the dill as well.

The cabbage there on the left is still getting bigger and I can’t wait to harvest this. I have never had fresh cabbage before so this should be a treat!

The white apricot tree is still doing good. Since we lost all the blooms to the wind I am hoping it will bloom again next month which, in my understanding, is when it should have bloomed the first time. So fingers crossed on this one.

The corn and sunflowers are doing amazing! We have about 10- 15 ears of corn growing right now. They should be ready to harvest next month sometime. The sunflowers are getting ready to start the flowers. I am looking forward to fresh sunflower seeds for both us and the chickens.

Have a great day!
