Garden Success

So far, the Garden is still doing great! I am so excited to be able to do this. I had several conversations with my grandfather about this and what I was doing wrong last year and so far it has been paying off.

You can see everything in the Santa Fe is still going good. The cabbage should be ready to harvest soon I hope. The beans, eggplant, tomatoes, and jalapenos are just about ready to transplant to the new section shown lower in this post.

We lost all the blooms on our apricot tree so I’m not sure we will get anything from it this year. I think for next year we are going to make some sort of wind break to help keep this from happening again.

The corn and sunflowers are growing really well. We are starting to get the ears of corn growing on them now so I will have to do some research on how to tell when they are actually ready to be harvested.

This is the new section that hubby just got ready for me to use. We have to add top soil and fertilizer to the soil here as it’s basically just sand in the majority of the yard. However, I am hopeful that it will produce well for us.

You can see my other posts about the garden and how it’s doing by going herehere, and here.

Have a great day!
