I have always been big on writing letters. I love to write letters. Something about the pen in hand and the paper on the desk always makes me feel good. That is, until I saw our choices. Of course the one choice that stuck out for me was a letter to someone who can’t respond (such as  loved one who has passed on). I mean who doesn’t want to say something to a loved one who has passed. I know I do. It seems that we never say what we need to say to that person when he or she is alive so a letter to a loved one it is.

Aunt Sharon,

I can’t believe you have been gone for almost 6 years.  I miss you so much. I miss talking to you. You always saw the positive side of everything and forced us kids to do the same. I could really use that some days now.  I miss being able to walk down to your house like when I was kid. You always were like a second mom to me. All of us always knew we could come to you with anything and you wouldn’t judge. I think that is what made you such a great person. You never judged anyone. I try so hard to be like that. I miss you Aunt Sharon and can’t wait to see you again.

Love always,
